Early gameplay footage found on the Hello Games Youtube channel has renewed the hype for open-world space exploration game "No Man's Sky."
After a long wait, the "No Man's Sky" universe is finally within our reach. Going through the recent trailers for the game is enough to make any fan long for the launch day to finally come.
However, a Reddit user pointed out that the in-game sound effects for the game is showcased much better on Hello Games' own Youtube channel, HelloGamesTube.
"Some might have missed this, but for some reason, all the trailers on HelloGamesTube got in-game SFX," Reddit user bugsixx posted. "While trailers on other channels sometimes don't."
For comparison, here's the latest "No Man's Sky" trailer on the PlayStation channel.
And this is one of the gameplay trailers on Hello Games' Youtube page.
Comparing the earlier gameplay footage to the current ones, the former's sound effects are more immersive, while subtle sounds like radio signals and going through portals can be heard clearly.
The discovery might be trivial for some, but it has renewed the excitement for the open-world space exploration game for many of its fans.
"No Man's Sky" will be made up of 18 quintillion procedurally generated planets, according to Gamespot. The vast universe offers endless hours of gameplay, an impressive feat, considering the whole game takes only 6GB of disc space.
Despite the lack of any story-driven narratives, "No Man's Sky" is guaranteed to keep players busy for a long time. Players will be hopping from one procedurally-generated planet to another, earning cash for ship upgrades and learning about various lifeforms.
While online capabilities are required for players to be able to share discoveries in-game, "No Man's Sky" can be played purely offline, according to PC Gamer.
"No Man's Sky" will be released on August 9.
