"No Man's Sky" is one of the most highly anticipated games for PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows PC. Recently, a leaked gameplay video has begun streaming on the web, giving fans a pretty good look at what's to come.
On July 30, Saturday, a man who goes by the username of Daymeeuhn on Reddit reportedly purchased a leaked PS4 copy of the "No Man's Sky" gameplay and has begun posting videos of it on Daily Motion. He claimed that he bought the said leaked PS4 copy for $1250.
Not long after the news made rounds on the web, Hello Games' director Sean Murray took to Twitter to express his disappointment over the matter. He also asked fans to not watch the leaked video, stating, "We've spent years filling 'No Man's Sky' with surprises. You've spent years waiting. Please don't' spoil for yourself."
Now, the videos have already been removed from Daily Motion. In a Reddit update, Daymeeuhn clarified that he somehow felt guilty in releasing the said gameplay footage and turning into the person who spoiled the much-awaited title.
"I expected Sean Murray to tweet negatively about it because let's face it, it's his job to," said Daymeeuhn, as quoted by Kotaku. "But I will admit, after watching so many of his interviews and knowing how cool of a guy he seems, it did make me feel a bit guilty. It was not the sole reason for my decision, but it was certainly a factor."
However, the leaked gameplay videos were being re-uploaded again by others users on several sites such as YouTube. Apparently, the leaked video showcased a portion of the new settings and a brief look at the game's new uncharted universe, which has more than 18 quintillion unique planets.
"No Man's Sky" will be out on Aug. 9 in North American, Aug. 10 in Europe for PlayStation 4, and Aug. 12 for the Microsoft Windows PC version. Stay tuned for more news and updates.
