Epic Games recently tweeted, that Fortnite is preparing a new limited-time mode (LTM) that is connected to the Marvel universe.
New modes have also been added after the launch and this has perhaps contributed to its popularity with the fans adding that the game publisher is on the right track of constantly providing varieties to the game.
There were many LTMs and permanent modes in Fortnite and some of them were "No Build" mode which is quite popular now. Now, all players are focused on on what can be the latest Marvel series like the Marvel crossover in Fortnite.
Marvel x Fortnite Collaboration
Over time, Marvel has been one of Fortnite's most regular collaboration partners. For the years many well-known heroes of the Marvel universe have joined the game, which is interesting not only for fans of Fortnite but the Marvel franchise as well. This practice has been maintained in the latest season, Chapter 5 Season 4 through the addition of skins of favorite characters such as Gwenpool and Mysterio.
Also, Marvel-centric places, such as Castle Doom and Doomstadt were implemented as bi-located permanent landmarks in Fortnite's map that change regularly. However, this partnership is expected to go a notch higher with the coming of a new LTM based on Marvel characters.
New LTM Hinted for Fortnite: So, is it Heroes vs. Villains?
According to Esports Illustrated, Fortnite through social media announced the new LTM on Sunday, Sept. 15. There was not much information given in the teaser, all they said was that a 'New LTM' would be promulgated on Tuesday.
But, about the possible content, Fortnite's dedicated leaker ShiinaBR shared some insights and said a "Heroes vs Villains" LTM could be in development. This mode would perfectly align with Fortnite's current Marvel season and, according to the reporters, return all of Fortnite's past Marvel Mythics to fight villains.
As to the specifics, we do not yet know as this has been the case with LTMs and seasonal updates in the game so it can be assumed that the new game mode may be interesting.
Marvel might also want to consider an idea like the 'Heroes vs. Villains' mode in which players battle it out in an all-out fight using characters such as Mythics from the previous theme in Marvel Mythic that was incorporated in the game.
Future Fortnite Updates to Watch For
Beyond the Marvel-themed LTM, Epic Games has also teased several other updates coming to Fortnite. One major update fans can look forward to is the return of the popular "Siphon" mechanic, which is set to be tested in Competitive modes next year.
Leaks have also hinted at other future updates, such as the potential return of Chapter 2 content and an exciting crossover with NASCAR, according to GameRant.
On top of that, LEGO Fortnite also confirmed that Air Ship will be flying in the skies starting Sept. 17. For Rocket Racing enthusiasts, the spinoff game surprised us with five different courses. The extra two courses came from 404 Creative.
