Fortnite knows how to trigger the fans—and sometimes how to excite them. Through the past years, we have seen a lot of collaborations including Marvel, Star Wars, and more. This time, Epic Games is presenting Ice Spice in the neon-soaked area known as Ice World.
It's the third week of Chapter 2 Remix from this hit game, fusing its battle royale action with the star power of the four-time Grammy-nominated artist. The fresh energy of the breakout star says it all.
Fortnite Ice Spice Goes to Shark Island
The latest Fortnite update portrayed Shark Island as an Ice Isle, a Y2K-inspired utopia that glows with bold neon looks. According to GameRant, the zone features an abandoned shopping mall, but the edginess is contained in this fully personified charm, similar to the persona of Ice Spice.
According to Epic Games, the developer behind Fortnite, the zone is described with an "ominous aura," inviting more and more players to explore its depths while battling each other.
This fresh theme comes coupled with the quality of Mythic- Ice Spice-inspired weapons. These comprise Ice Spice's Grappler and Ice Spice's Rifle. These add up to extend the gameplay, offering fans with their favorite artist and Fortnite a unique crossing experience.

Special Skins and Cosmetics For Ice Spice
What's included in the update are the core cosmetics available in Fortnite's item shop. The default Ice Spice skin can be obtained, or purchased by the premium Rap Princess Ice Spice Outfit, both of which will be sporting Benny The Jeweler's esteemed princess necklace. This is Ice Spice's debut in the game and further contributes to the never-ending list of artists being included within Fortnite.
Fortnite's Musical Development: From Ice Spice to Juice WRLD
Ice Spice's takeover is part of the larger scheme in Fortnite's Chapter 2 Remix season, which has been focused on musical titans. Thus, earlier, music icons such as Snoop Dogg and Eminem had their mark with the musical takeover through unique items and cosmetics reflecting the legacies behind them.
Next, Fortnite will honor Juice WRLD in Week 4 of Chapter 2 Remix - dropping on Nov. 21, with a free Juice WRLD skin and the introduction of WRLD Point, celebrating the musician's meteoric ascension and lasting impact on rap and popular culture.
Given that Chapter 2 Remix ends Nov. 30 at 10:00 P.M. ET, then it is now waiting for Fortnite's Chapter 6 update to drop in early December.
Not All Fortnite Fans Like the Ice Spice Update
As Dexerto uncovers, some fans took their frustration on Reddit to complain about the annoying cosmetics including the two separate Ice Spice skins.
According to some Redditors, the two skins look "exactly similar to each other." Even the smallest details including their necklace and hair are strikingly similar.
"They can 100% be a single skin with different styles but I guess Epic really going for the double stacks of money they getting from the die-hard fans," one user wrote.
"There are hundreds of skins in this game with the same model lol," another user commented.
Last week, all it took was a bizarre map bug and boom—the whole Fortnite tournament was shut down.
