While those new to the "Resident Evil" franchise can still enjoy "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard," veterans might have already noticed some secrets and Easter eggs hidden within Capcom's survival horror video game for the PC, PlayStation 4, and the Xbox One. Did you see all the secrets and references listed below?

According to Now Loading, secrets and Easter eggs can even be seen in the "Beginning Hour" demo for "Resident Evil 7." The "ghostly apparitions" in the demo were a reference to "Sweet Home," another Capcom game. "Sweet Home" eventually inspired director Shinji Mikami to switch from ghosts to zombies when brainstorming for "Resident Evil."

In "Resident Evil 7," the Baker Mansion is located within the Arklay Mountains, which is also referenced in the live-action "Resident Evil" film directed by Paul W.S. Anderson which starred Milla Jovovich. Even the word "Biohazard" in the full title of the seventh game in the "Resident Evil" franchise is an Easter egg since in Japan, the games are marketed as "Biohazard" instead of "Resident Evil."

Players can also find a book called "The Unveiled Abyss" in the game. The book is written by Clive R. O'Brian, who is actually the head of the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance (BSAA) in the spin-off game "Resident Evil: Revelations."

A newspaper found in the Baker Mansion's foyer features a story written by Alyssa Ashcroft. Ashcroft is a reporter, and she is also the main character in "Resident Evil: Outbreak," another spin-off game.

Even notorious Albert Wesker is referenced in "Resident Evil 7," but he isn't actually shown in the game. However, players can find a secret weapon called the "Albert-01," a reference to Wesker. The gun looks similar to the villain's own "customized 9mm Beretta 92F" which is called the Samurai Edge.

As gamers explore the crashed tanker in "Resident Evil 7," they may come across a magazine that talks about what happened in Raccoon City. This is a reference to "Resident Evil 2," which was set in the same city.

Metro also lists more Easter eggs and references in the seventh "Resident Evil" game. Among the "incredibly creepy VHS tapes" by the Baker family is a reference to "Resident Evil 1."

In one of the tapes, sharp-eyed players can see a familiar set of numbers, which is "a partial product ID for the Resident Evil: Director's Cut" which was "released in 1997" and "included the Resident Evil 2 demo." The code is in a "little white box" with all the numbers, right under the title card. The numbers are "US-00551/90009."

When you're about to exit the Baker Mansion, turn around and look at one of the windows. The "semi-circular attic window" looks a lot like the logo of the Umbrella Corporation.

The following information contains spoilers for the end of the game.

As players finish "Resident Evil 7," one of the men who come to rescue Ethan calls himself Redfield. The man does look a lot like Chris Redfield, one of the franchise's famous recurring main characters. Still, there are those who say that the man could be lying since Umbrella Corporation might have sent in the mysterious Special Agent H.U.N.K. instead.

Even the helicopter itself contains an Easter egg. It is eventually revealed that the helicopter which rescues Ethan and Mia (or Zoe) has the Umbrella Corporation logo on it.
