Gamers can now immerse themselves in the mysterious town of "Vidar," where they must solve puzzles to save the town's already dwindling number of inhabitants. Razbury Games developed the role-playing game (RPG) puzzler, which is now available on Steam Early Access.

In the RPG puzzler "Vidar," players must navigate "a puzzling labyrinth" because every day they fail to solve the puzzles in the game a random non-player character (NPC) will die, per Siliconera. Each death will also change something within the town and the people living in it. Each death will also affect the game's story.

Every NPC in the town of Vidar is connected to each other in "various ways" so when you fail to solve the puzzles and an NPC dies, the survivors will start acting differently. For example, if the developer of the supplier in Vidar dies, the quests players can undertake will change. If the blacksmith dies, other things will also change for the survivors.

These NPC deaths will also change the way Vidar looks. Depending on the dead NPC's tasks, the jobs they left behind will now be unattended and the town will change.

Aside from preventing the NPC deaths in the RPG puzzler "Vidar," gamers must also figure out how to get tools and solve puzzles in the game's randomly generated labyrinth. Each maze will have different puzzles and solutions, so you are constantly required to devise a new strategy every time you play the game.

Those who wish to start playing Razbury Games' title "Vidar" can it out on Steam Early Access. According to the official "Vidar" website, "Vidar's citizens react to each other and events in town in new and complex ways. The quests available to you, and the story that evolves, is responsive not only to your decision but to random chance as well. That means that even if you try to make the exact same choices on a second play, the story will still be completely different from what you saw the first time."
