"Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf" is coming to Steam Early Access this February, according to developer HeroCraft Games. The PR team for the company also confirmed earlier rumors and pinpointed Feb. 16 for the Steam release.

To recall, "Warhammer 40K" is originally a free-to-play Android and iOS game. However, HeroCraft was bombarded with insistent demand to develop it further into a full game for either PC or consoles.

Developers admit that the call for a full game is a daunting task, so they decided to invade Steam Early Access first. They will be able to gather data about what gamers really want from "Warhammer 40K" by doing so. HeroCraft also confirmed that game will first be available on PC, TheGG reported.

"Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf" is going to be a full paid game, unlike the f2p setting of the mobile version. The PC version will also look more like a "remastered" version of the mobile game since it is going to sport the same gameplay and in-game balance, but will boast of better user interface and controls.

Further, "Warhammer 40K" is going to feature better textures and materials and overall improved graphics. HeroCraft will introduce dynamic lighting, weapons and weather effects as well.

In a related development, People for Ethical Treatment of Animals or PETA lambasted the whole "Warhammer 40K" franchise for use of animal furs in the characters' costumes. PETA stated that wearing animal fur is unacceptable even if the game is fictional and set in the year 40,000.

PETA also stressed that nothing in the world of "Warhammer 40K" depicts fur trade, so it will be a win-win solution to simply remove the costumes. The animal rights group hints that taking off these animal costumes doesn't effect the character skill and synergies as well.
