Twitch Prime users will get loots and freebies once "For Honor" launches on Feb. 14, while those on the other side may contend with open beta which will take place on Feb. 9 to 12. "For Honor" has recently concluded the closed beta and players are happy with the initial peek into the gameplay.
"For Honor" is Ubisoft's brain child which pits warrior-clans of Knights, Samurai and Vikings against each other. The game offers a cool hack and slash gameplay with tons of eye candy effects. An earlier Mobile&Apps review suggests that the only problem that closed beta players experienced is connectivity and irritating "always online" requisite.
At any rate, it is time to don the armor again and fight "For Honor" in the upcoming open beta on Feb. 9-12. What will serve as preparation for the event is a special live competition which will air on Ubisoft's Twitch.TV two days prior. There will be guest celebrities who will play as one of the 12 generals from either Vikings, Knights or Samurai factions.
"For Honor" also promised that there will be special announcements in this pre-open beta event. Further, developers assured that there will be prizes to be won. Of course, the better goodies go to Twitch Prime users who can get in-game loot, a Champion status that will last for 10 days and a United Faction emblem. It is unclear though if non-Prime users can purchase the same goodies later after release.
Ubisoft boats of several "For Honor" features which will be available in the final release version on Feb. 14. These include unique play style and weapon sets for each of three competing factions. Players can also expect memorable story campaigns in a brutal warrior world set-up tattered with castles and fortresses.
"For Honor" can be played either on single player campaign or multi-player mode. The game also sports customization and total control over chosen characters in variety of scenarios and battlefields.
