"Stories Untold" is an anthology horror game. It has been developed by Glaswegian studio No Code and recently, they released the short trailer for the game. Looking at the trailer, many gaming fans have noted its similarities to Netflix original series "Stranger Things."
"Stories Untold" contains the remastered version of "The House Abandon." This will also be the pilot game and will have three other horror games following it. Many reviews of the title said it was a "game within a game." The interactive horror game can be finished in just 20 minutes.
According to PCGamesN, "The House Abandon" lets players play the role of someone playing a horror computer game. Players only need to type common commands such as "Look Around." The horror will be brought by the game on the computer, but also on your mind as you imagine terrors hiding in the dark.
Titles of the other three "Stories Untold" games have not yet been revealed. However, it seems like there will be a game in an abandoned laboratory and radio station. Still, fans of "The House Abandon" are excited for the fourth-wall scares that "Stories Untold" will bring.
However, apart from the horror games that No Code will be putting into "Stories Untold," the game is also rather popular because of its close visual nods to "Stranger Things." Mashable noted the differences: first with the red lettered logo, the retro technology and even the music. Even those flickering lights and the house itself looked like it was inspired by The Duffer Brothers series.
Nonetheless, the greatest link "Stories Untold" has with "Stranger Things" is that their title cards are created by Imaginary Forces. It could tell why they were similar in different ways.
"Stories Untold" is slated for release on February 27. The game will be available on Steam. Unfortunately, it won't come out on consoles.
