The "Resident Evil 7" second expansion has been released yesterday, February 14, on PlayStation 4. It includes more scares across three all-new story chapters.
Banned Footage Vol. 2 is said to include two new missions to play through. The first one is the 21 Scenario. Capcom, the developer, said that players must gamble both their life and limb in a deadly game run by Lucas Baker. The other is the Daughters Scenario, which acts as a prequel. Players are expected to see what the Baker family was like before the horrific events of "Resident Evil 7."
In addition, the DLC includes a new mode called Jack's 55th Birthday. This is said to be a comical extra game mode separate from the tapes and story of the main game. Players get to race against the clock and feed the "Resident Evil 7" villain Jack Baker with loads of food, VG247 reported.
The said DLC is a timed exclusive on PS4 until this February 21, as soon as it will arrive on Xbox One and PC. Banned Footage Vol. 1, the first expansion of "Resident Evil 7," was released for PS4 in January 31. The first expansion included a Bedroom Scenario, a Nightmare Scenario and an extra mode called Ethan Must Die.
The first two modes on the second expansion of "Resident Evil 7" are apparently canon to the game's main storyline. It expectedly fills in some smaller gaps of knowledge from the source, the same way as the tapes featured throughout the story do.
On the other hand, the final mode, Jack's 55th Birthday, is not serious at all. It doesn't support PSVR as well, just like the extra mode on the first expansion. It may possibly be due to its different purpose within "Resident Evil 7," according to GameSpot.
