PlayStation VR gamers should be well excited for Ninja Theory's (creators of 'DmC: Devil May Cry' & 'Heavenly Sword') brand new offering, "Dexed." The game, out today, marks the first VR title for the developer. It is priced at $9.99.

At its core, "Dexed" is an on-rails VR shooter inspired by games like "Panzer Dragoon," in which players can wield fire and ice blasters, eradicating enemies while travelling through vibrant and elegant worlds. "Ice enemies can only be damaged by fire, and vice versa, making this game a true test of your DEXterity (see what we did there?)," writes Ninja Theory's Fran Mead on the US PlayStation Blog.

"Dexed" players can tag several enemies to execute combos, which in effect will increase the score multiplier. Those up to the challenge can enter the endless Arcade Mode, where players are attacked by a swarm of enemies in an arena.

"Keep your shields up, protect your health bar and watch out for the dangerous detonating enemies. The truly dexterous will emerge champions of the global and friends leaderboard!," Ninja Theory said.

"Dexed" for PS VR also comes with a Zen Mode, and witness the colorful and lush environments of the game. Challenge Mode levels are also available and are void of distractions and enemies.

"Dexed," being Ninja Theory's debut VR title, isn't the studio's usual fare. The VR game is more of an arcade experience than a narrative-driven adventure. That said, Ninja Theory is the industry's most divisive developer. Many have taken to the Cambridge-based studio for its incredible work on "Enslaved," "Heavenly Sword," and of course, "DmC: Devil May Cry."

The studio has made a name for itself as creator of among the best games there are, and "Dexed" represents its first offering into beautiful world of the PS VR. Check out the amazing gameplay video below - it's worth the $10.
