Last week was exciting for fans of Jake and Finn, as Cartoon Network released a new promo video for the mini-series "Adventure Time: Islands" that will be aired beginning today, January 30. The promo video hinted spoilers for the special event, which will tackle one of the mysteries that has long been questioned by fans since it first aired.
What happened to the humans in the "Adventure Time" universe? Also, will fans see Finn finally meet his mother? The promotional art somehow presents "Adventure Time: Islands" spoilers, but the answer lies somewhere in the series eight episodes.
As revealed by Cartoon Network via Collider, "Adventure Time: Islands" kicks off with Part 1 "The Invitation," where a questionable craft descends upon Ooo, which could possibly hold secrets to Finn's past. Part 2 "Whippie the Happy Dragon" comes next, featuring Jake, Finn, and Susan on an ocean trip amass with adventure and danger.
Meanwhile, fans of the hit Cartoon Network show have been trying to acquire some "Adventure Time: Islands" spoilers, given the mini-series has a lot to reveal. Apart from the much awaited answer as to where the humans wait, another mystery waiting to be uncovered is the identity of Finn's mom, and if Finn will finally meet her.
One theory, which could very well pass as an "Adventure Time: Islands" spoiler, is that Susan Strong might be the mother of Finn. In a Reddit thread titled "Why Susan Strong is Definitely Finn's Mother," user AidanGrey detailed the reason why this could be possible.
In "Billy's Bucket List," it was revealed that Finn's dad, Martin, is alive. Martin refuses to discuss Finn's mother, saying it stresses him out. On the other hand, Susan Strong lives with half-fish, half-human people.
"Clearly, Finn's mother was lost at sea and eventually ended up with the fish people. Martin knows the details of her disappearance, and the guilt over losing her turned him into the irresponsible doucheballoon he is," said AidanGrey. "Subterranean lakes ultimately run into the ocean through underground rivers, so Susan could get there from the sea without making landfall."
Catch the eight-part series today with two episodes beginning at 7:30 pm (ET/PT), with two episodes to follow each day after that. Tune in for more Adventure Time: Islands" spoilers!
