It is clear by now that Capcom has made its name more significant than ever, thanks to the release of "Resident Evil 7 Biohazard." The developer and publisher earned quite a lot of praise for its new title, particularly for what many consider the series' comeback to its roots.

As if "Resident Evil 7's" already established notoriety isn't enough, Digital Foundry released a graphics comparison video of the game, noting that it's visually excellent across all platforms: PlayStation 4/Pro, Xbox One, and PC. The analysis concluded that the PS4 version "offers the complete package."

"The PS4 nails the experience with a native 1080p presentation, HDR support, and a solid 60fps update, while the PS4 Pro offers up a minor resolution boost and tweaks in lighting," Digital Foundry concluded. Regarding "Resident Evil 7" on Xbox One, the company said that Microsoft's platform isn't quite as solid as the PS4; its frame rates fall short of sustaining a locked 60fps. Its advice to fans: PlayStation is the way to go if looking for absolute consistency in the experience.

About "Resident Evil 7" on PC, the company said that the PC version offers the best performance and presentation overall. However, due to the lack of VR support, it is the PS4 version that's hailed the "complete package."

Meanwhile, Eurogamer says that playing "Resident Evil 7" on PC has issues when playing on a UHD TV with HDR enabled. To set an example, the publication cited users reporting of a washed-image when disabling HDR in-game while connected to an HDR display. Additionally, playing with HDR enabled resolutions below 4K also showed problems, with players reporting that the game is displayed at a lower res, either 1140p or 1080p as a bordered 1:1 pixel mapped image in the center of the screen.
