Stardock, the developer of "Galactic Civilizations 3," just released a 2.0 update to the game which added Starbase Adminstrators and a lot more improvements according to GameSpot. Starbase Administrators, which are available in limited amounts, are a new resource that is required to construct Starbases that take away the pressure from small empires to build large numbers of the same. The number of starting Administrators depends on the galaxy size and can be increased when players research certain Government Technologies.

Diplomacy Improvements
- Diplomacy attitude label is changed from "allied" to Love"
- Diplomacy attitude label is changed from "war" to "hates"
- A.I.'s will come to their friends' aid even if the enemies are stronger
- A.I.'s are now capable of explaining their reason for rejecting as well as accepting trade offers.
Balance
- Home planet production points base is increased from one to ten
- Starbase spacing radius is reduced to 2 tiles that will allow players to cluster them closer together.
- Early game improvements made less expensive
- Late game improvement benefits slightly reduced
- Research improvements have been rebalanced
User Interface Improvements
- Ships that are designed by players will automatically be added to the favorites
- Planet and Shipyard windows added information for Currency, Population and Morale
- Mini-map preview is now working in Map Editor
- Removed military ring Starbase range boost

"Galactic Civilizations 3" is a turn-based strategy game developed by Stardock for Microsoft Windows that was released in 2015. It is a sequel to "Galactic Civilizations 2: Dread Lords" released in 2006.
