The upcoming release of NetherRealm's "Injustice 2" has caused a lot of hype around the gaming community. Invites to play the game's beta version are still going out prior to its official release in May. More so, players don't have to worry about anyone in the community paying to win as news say that there would be no microtransactions for in-game gear.

No Microtransactions For Gear

Ed Boon, director of NetherRealm Studios, reportedly confirmed this news when they announced the new Robin and the beta codes being mailed out. Though players won't be able to purchase any in-game gear and eventually stomping the competition, this doesn't mean that "Injustice 2" will not be having any microtransactions at all. NetherRealm could be offering cosmetics for sale alongside potential DLC characters, GamingBolt reported.

According to reports, "Injustice 2" is slated to have the biggest list of characters in a NetherRealm fighter yet. Other than the DLC characters that have been initially teased, there are third party characters as well. Those who are apparently coming to the game could be Spawn, Hellboy and a bunch of fighers from NetherRealm's other fighting game franchises such as "Mortal Kombat",

Damian Wayne And The "Injustice 2" Beta

As of now, characters like Batman, Superman, Supergirl and Atrocitus can be used as players participate in the said beta. Playable Robin also known as Damain Wayne had just been recently released by NetherRealm.

Based on his pre-fight dialogue with Batman, it is apparently possible that he was responsible for the death of the primary Robin, Dick Grayson. Players should note that anything goes when comics have changing timelines.

With regard to Robin gameplay footage, it showcases Damian is battling with a chokuto sword, which is totally different from other Robins who usually use bo staffs and escrima sticks. He has his own storage of bat gadgets at his disposal as well, making him play like a younger and more likely a more violent Batman.

"Injustice 2" is set to hit Xbox One, PS4 and mobile devices in few months. In the meantime, watch the Robin Gameplay Trailer below.
