The Nintendo Switch price was confirmed along with the screen size, release date and more during the company's much-anticipated Jan. 12 event. The $299.99 admission price for the console may not seem high in the United States but prices vary based on different exchange rates around the world.
Meanwhile, as sites like Amazon and Argos fortunately cut the price of Nintendo Switch games, prices have started to plunge in the United Kingdom. Though "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is the most high profile launch title on Switch, it had previously been given a £60 (roughly $64) price tag on Amazon.
Note that the title's price has been initially reduced to £49.99 (roughly $54) on Argos. Amazon has just followed suit and reduced the price from £60 (roughly $64) to £50 (roughly $54), which was way ahead of its release date in March 3, according to Express.
The reduced price is still £10, more expensive than the Wii U version, which has been advertised for £40. 1-2-Switch are now cheaper than before at many retailers given that they were originally priced between £49.99 and £59.99 while their prices range from £39.99 (roughly $43) and £49.99.
Moreover, at some retailers, 1-2-Switch is down to £34.99 (roughly $37) and no standard edition first party game is priced, which is above £49.99. Most Nintendo fans have been expecting that more games drop in price ahead of the Nintendo Switch launch.
After Nintendo's announcement of a new launch title, it has been unveiled that the Nintendo Switch games list has gone bigger recently. "NBA 2K18" had no official release date before but recently, as per 2K tweet, it has been confirmed for the Nintendo Switch's March 3 launch. Fans can apparently expect a selection of Virtual Console releases as it is possible for third-party developers to bring some surprises in store for launch.
