"Call of Duty" game developer Sledgehammer Games greeted fans with a Happy New Year's Day with a Twitter video that showed a combination lock. What's interesting is that the numbers rolled for about 12 seconds until it stopped to show "2017." This stirred up fan speculations that the developer is preparing for a "Call of Duty" 2017.
Sledgehammer Games has not officially announced the development of "Call of Duty" 2017 but fans are hopeful that the developer makes an improvement to the franchise. The teaser video actually received mixed feedbacks from players as some Twitter users are excited about another "COD" game and there are those who don't believe that the new game would be better. Check out the comments from players in the tweet found below.
Though some players are not into another "COD" installment, some YouTubers are enticed with the tweet and even managed to decipher what could be the mystery behind the game developer's video. As reported by Attack of the Fanboy, Sledgehammer Games may be gearing up for a historical era as the number of the padlock represents "1906" if they take the previous digits before each number in "2017." As crazy as this sounds, moving "COD" in the early century could still be a possibility.
Meanwhile, "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" is reportedly getting a fresh Mission Team this 2017. As per a report by Express, game publisher Activision is working to release the Blood Anvil Mission Team. The news broke following a YouTube video that is reportedly a leaked content from the upcoming Mission Team.
Activision has not released official details of the Blood Anvil Mission Team as of this posting. However, Express claimed that the new content may be available on the Xbox One and PS4 platforms. It still remains to be seen whether the new Mission Team will come as free or paid content, however.
More details about the speculated "Call of Duty" 2017 teaser and more "COD" updates are expected to come out in May, reportedly. In the meantime, check out the Blood Anvil video below. Are you excited to get your hands on the new content?
