Just a few months before the highly anticipated release of "Halo Wars 2" an alleged footage of what appears to the be rendering of the characters of the upcoming video game accompanied by what pundits think as part of game's in-game music has been leaked. The alleged leakage was posted on Youtube on a Channel registered under Gamecheat 13.

In the leaked footage, quite a number of striking differences of the new Halo video game compared to the earlier Halo releases were seen. The first unmistakable difference that can be seen in the leaked footage is the changes done to Spartan Armor. Changes in the Grunt and Elite designs are also sure not to be left unnoticed.

Among the units that can be seen in the Halo Wars 2 leaked video are Grizzly tanks, Covenant grunts, brutes, spartans, UNSC marines and Locust. The characters seen on the footage as well as the accompanying music, according to avid Halo fans, appeared to be a legit release.

The 14 minute leaked "Halo Wars 2" youtube video, like other alleged early releases and leaked videos, should be taken with a grain of salt. So far, Microsoft has neither confirmed nor denied if the alleged footage really did came from the soon to be released video game. The fact that Microsoft remains mum and the alleged leak has not yet been taken down from the Youtube channel seem to suggest that it is merely a fan made video.

The "Halo Wars 2" will be released with both PC and Xbox compatibility. The new strategy game will be part of what Microsoft has introduced as the universal platform scheme for Windows. "Halo Wars 2" release date is set for February 21, 2017. The game is developed by the same people behind the video game Total Wars, Creative Assembly and Halo devs 343.
