"Halo Wars" was first released for Xbox 360 in 2009. Eight years later, the second installment of the real-time strategy game is coming back, but, this time for Xbox One.
"Halo Wars 2" will be rolled out on February 21 for Xbox One and PC. Like its predecessor, the game is also an RTS one. However, many are already saying that the second installment is better than the original.
According to CGMagazine, the controls of "Halo Wars 2" are amazing. They have described it as "tight, intuitive and surprisingly easy to pick up." That being said, there is no need for long tutorials as players could likely learn the controls along the way.
However, "Halo Wars 2" does not really do well storywise. Apparently, hardcore "Halo" fans are the only ones who can get truly comfortable with its story. Even those who have played the "Halo" titles before could have a hard time realizing when "Halo Wars 2" takes place.
Nonetheless, "Halo Wars 2" boasts amazing cutscenes. It has realistic-looking details; from facial acting giving out emotions plus great cinematography.
"Halo Wars 2" is an Xbox Play Anywhere title. This is why it can be played on Windows 10 PCs. With that, some players who were able to experience the game before its release claims that the PC experience is better than Xbox. The bright side of the console is that the title is more stable on Xbox One.
Another thing that is great about "Halo Wars 2" is its ability to conform to any player. According to Windows Central, 343i and Creative Assembly aimed for the game to be played in various ways. Therefore, it gives a different experience for pro RTS gamers or those who simply want to try it out. In addition, it also adds a different experience whether a gamer is on PC or on console.
