When "The Flame in the Flood" launched on the Xbox One and PCs earlier this year, it received a lot of good feedback from the gaming world. This month, the wilderness survival game can be played on PlayStation 4 consoles as well.

As reported by Engadget, "The Flame in the Flood" will be coming to the PS4 on an unspecified date in January 2017. The game's PS4 version will include a director's commentary that will give gamers a sneak peek into the game's creative process. In addition to the behind-the-scenes look, "The Flame in the Flood" PS4 players will also b treated to a "host of gameplay enhancements" and some PS4-exclusive perks.

"The Flame in the Flood" was praised in the gaming world primarily because of its setting and gameplay. It is set in a dystopic era that came about following a huge calamity that occurred in the southern part of America. Its portrayal of survival in a post-calamity setting puts emphasis on living a nomadic life, instead of having to co-exist with others in a base camp.

The game also drew attention because of the people behind its creation. The Molasses Flood was founded by one of the key members of the team behind "BioShock Infinite." The others were also responsible the development of classic video games, namely, "Rock Band," "Guitar Hero," and "Halo." "The Flame in the Flood" may have been made by creators who can be considered as veterans in the gaming industry, but none of its make was a copy of any of its current rivals in the market.

The current market for survival games is currently already crowded. However, this game separates itself from the rest because of its crafting system, indie game ethos, and a fast-paced exploration of the world following a tragedy.

Now playable for PS4 gamers, "The Flame in the Flood" can be purchased for only $14.99. Moreover, a previous report has confirmed that players can get a discount for the launch.
