"Pokemon The Series: Sun & Moon" is the 20th season of the long-running TV franchise. Plus, just last year, Disney XD signed a multi-year distribution deal with The Pokemon Company. According to this agreement, the network will not only air the 20th season, but should also air the 19 previous ones - including 15 films and a new animated feature, "Pokemon the Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel."
IGN has reported that the next season of "Pokemon The Series: Sun & Moon" will focus on Ash, together with Pikachu, as they travel to Alola. Alola is the new location that is added to the latest Nintendo 3DS "Pokemon" games.
The first two episodes of "Pokemon The Series: Sun & Moon," which have been dubbed in English, can now be watched by the franchise's fans online. The news about the episodes coming out was initially shared by The Pokemon Company on its Twitter account.
Before The Pokemon Company's announcement regarding "Pokemon The Series: Sun & Moon," Disney also debuted "Pokemon the Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel." Aside from airing this animated feature, Disney XD also promised to give fans an early look into the upcoming series in November.
Now, fans of the franchise can also watch the episodes on The Pokemon TV app. The first and second episodes are entitled "Alola to the New Adventures" and "The Guardian's Challenge," respectively.
Comic Book has detailed that the first two episodes showed Ash going to Alola with his mother. He eventually decides to enroll in a local Pokemon school shortly after he met Pokemon Tapu Koko. Ash met new companions in "Pokemon The Series: Sun & Moon," namely, Lillie, Mallow, Sophocles, and Lana.
Another show, "Pokemon XY and Z: The Series," has its finale episode scheduled for January 21st. It will focus on Ash's departure from the Kalos region, sans Serena, Bonnie, and Clemont.
