Due to reported bugs in the 7.00 update, Valve has once again introduced another update to DOTA 2. The DOTA 7.01 update patch was introduced to the game on December 20.
The 7.01 DOTA 2 update which was recently released by Valve is said to have fixed the bug issues that were reportedly created by the 7.00 update patch. Also, the recent DOTA 2 update provided upgrades to a number of heroes in the game as well.
Although the bug issues that the 7.00 DOTA 2 update patch were reported to have are considerably minor glitches, it did not take too long for Valve to address the issues. In the 7.01 update patch, the bug issues which were said to cause the crashing of the game was said to have been removed.
Changes in the DOTA 2 heroes were also said to have been experienced in the game after the 7.01 update patch has been introduced. Noticeable changes were seen for the heroes Enchantress and Monkey King while there are also reported changes for Rikimaru, Phantom Assassin, Doom, Invoker, Chaos Knight and Slark. For Enchantress, under the 7.01 update, her intelligence has been raised and her skill set was also improved.
Players also notice considerable changes in the skill set of Monkey King. DOTA 2 players stated that the skill set of the DOTA 2 hero is now more balanced compared to as what it was before the 7.01 update was introduced.
One of King Monkey's skills, Jingu Mastery, has been nerfed. The skill is said to be a bit shorter with the recent update by 5 seconds.
The critical strike of Monkey King's Boundless Strike skill was also nerfed. Instead of having a flat 200% critical strike, the Boundless Strike skill will now have a critical strike of 140 - 160 - 180 - 200, which will scale depending on the level of the DOTA 2 hero in the game.
