There have been a number of speculations about the quite anticipated "NBA 2K17" game. Apart from the new features coming, question on the release date is a major issue. With the news of additional game content and features, many fans cannot help but wonder whether these tweaks could delay the arrival of the basketball simulation video game.

Not long after the release date delay talks circulated on the web, NBA 2K's official Twitter account reassured gamers that the game will surely hit the store shelves on Sept. 20 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

On July 29, Tuesday, "NBA 2K17" Senior Producer Erick Boenisch revealed to Operation Sports that the game will have a new feature called the MyGM/MyLeague League Expansion. The said add on will permit players to expand the current 30-team league to 36, with the expansion able to occur amid league creation or in the off-season of ongoing leagues.

Players can choose the current 30 teams or completely begin with the modified league that may incorporate realigned divisions - Expansion Teams, Edited/Rebranded NBA Teams, Classic Teams, Euroleague Teams and more. Creating new teams means players can also modify the league's logos, arenas, and uniforms.

There are also 10 pre-built fictional franchises, complete with full audio and commentary support, incorporated right into the game. Sporting News reported that players can now download complete team designs from "NBA 2K17's" community.

"We've covered every detail required for a proper league expansion, including player protections, expansion drafts and much, much more," Boenish added, as quoted by Design & Trend. "A considerable amount of time was spent this year building an NBA schedule creation tool that dynamically generates balanced schedules with respect to your 31/32/33/32/35/36 team leagues."
