Much to the chagrin of the real as well as virtual basketball realms, the New Orleans Pelicans has roped in DeMarcus Cousins from the Sacramento Kings.

Sports gaming analyst Bryan Wiedey wasted no time to recreate the deal that left everyone aghast in the hit basketball simulation video game "NBA 2K17." In the game's franchise mode, Sacramento Kings declines to substitute their franchise players with Langston Galloway, Tyreke Evans, Buddy Hield and a couple of draft picks. On the contrary, they advised the virtual Pelicans to return when they had an offer that would allegedly sweep them off their feet.

Apparently, Vlade Divac, who is Kings general manager does not play much "NBA 2K17," since he traded the 26-years -old DeMarcus Cousins, a three-time NBA All-Star center, for the aforesaid haul of players and picks. The NBA public (leaving out New Orleans) and one Kings broadcaster have deemed this as a lousy deal for Sacramento, according to NESN.

The real-life trade boasts one of the best frontcourts in the NBA and 2K17. Cousins is ranked 93 Overall making him the seventh-highest rated player in the game. He joins the likes of Anthony Davis, who is rated 94 Overall. Together, Cousins and Davis is the second-highest rated pair of teammates in the league. They are behind only Golden State Warriors' Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry, SportingNews reported.
