Sony is reportedly preparing a massive launch for its next-generation PlayStation console dubbed as the PlayStation 5. According to reports, the console will be released in two variants with VR Headset and will provide life-like "GTA 6" gaming experience.
Gamers will just have to wait a little more for the release of PlayStation 5 in the market. According to Sony, even if it was showcased at the E3 event, the PS4 successor will not be launched anytime soon. Although this might be a bad news for PlayStation fans but it is expected that it will come with a lot of fascinating new features.
It was heavily speculated that the GTA sequel would be launched together with the PlayStation 5 debut. Rockstar games is said to be working on "GTA 6" at the moment and this might happen in 2019. Tech experts also stated that it is likely to be true that Sony will wait until 2019 to release the PS5.
The PlayStation 5 will be shipped with VR headset, expecting to have the same success of PS4 in providing an amazing VR experience. According to Heavy, PS5 will come in two technically improved variants. At present, PS4 delivers an engaging VR experience to the gamers and with its recent update, which rolled out 4K support to the device. Sony decided to release the PlayStation 5 not until 2019 because the company does not want an instant counterpart to the soon to be released Xbox Scorpio.
Shuhei Yoshida of Sony added that the company is not following the mobile phone trend, so releasing an upgrade on their device yearly is unnecessary. Meantime, within a 2-year span before the planned launched of PlayStation 5 will take place, Sony could address some issues that are occurring on PS4 Pro and they could add a 4K Blu-Ray player. The performance could also be increased, which includes providing a higher bandwidth, says Gamespot.
