The gaming world has long been waiting for the arrival of the PlayStation 5, especially since its predecessor was launched years ago. The gaming console was released in North American and Europe on November 2013, while it was out in Japan the year after that.
Michael Pachter, an analyst from Wedbush Morgan, is convinced that the unit will be out for gamers to play in November 15, 2020. According to the report, before making any official announcements regarding the PlayStation 5, Sony wants to see how Microsoft’s Project Scorpio performs first.
Since the release of the PlayStation 4, Sony has sold more than 57 million consoles. The gaming community has not let up with its purchasing power, as there are reportedly still many ongoing orders for either its 500 GB or its 1 TB variant.
The long-awaited PlayStation 5 is also expected to heavily invest in Virtual Reality. Considering that this tech genre has developed into a highly lucrative on in the recent years, it is only expected for top gaming companies to invest in such venture. To improve the console, Sony reportedly wants to remove annoying wires that could potentially hinder the VR experience. That said, it would appear that Sony has plans of coming up with a wireless VR experience for the PlayStation 5.
In addition to VR, the PlayStation 5 gamers are also reportedly going to enjoy the full extend of 4K. This is very good news, considering that not many gaming consoles in today’s market fully support 4K quality.
These reported specs only make the gaming community froth in the mouth for the PlayStation 5 to finally be released. However, since Sony has neither acknowledged nor confirmed these reports, it is best to take them with a grain of salt. It has been four years since the release of the last PS unit, yet Sony has not hinted at anything with regard to the PS5.
