“Diablo 3” had just recently made the news after Blizzard Entertainment confirmed the arrival of a new rare item. As announced by the game maker, the Primal Ancients will soon be featured in “Diablo 3” through the 2.5.0 patch. Through this update, gamers get access to new features, such as a Crafting Mat Storage and an Armory.

Now, however, “Diablo 3” has made the headlines in the gaming industry once again due to the rise of botters. The gaming world, especially “Diablo 3,” is no longer a beginner when it comes to handling botting. Blizzard Entertainment has never been more clear about its stance with regard to the use of bots.

As outlined on the “Diablo 3” developer’s official website, bots or any code that are “not expressly authorized by Blizzard” are prohibited. Examples of such software are those being used for automated control of the game or a specific character.

Blizzard Entertainment’s rules date back to 2012. Since then, the company has been bent on banning accounts that make use of botting programs. Unfortunately, botters still do exist, and have even reportedly risen to the top of the leaderboards in Europe.

As stated in the game’s official forum, the top spots for the season belongs to botters. A fellow gamer posted some observations which hint that the season’s spear-headers are cheaters. They want proof that “those guys are legit,” especially when their stats are highly questionable.

The “Diablo 3” maker has not responded to the comments yet, but some gamers are convinced that it will ban these botters soon. They are expecting Blizzard to begin with the banning as soon as the current season ends. Other speculations point toward the developer making money off of these botters - that botting makes up a huge portion of the revenue for “Diablo 3.” Of course, this information remains unverified.
