Avid gamers are looking forward to this year's E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) in hopes that Rockstar Games will shed more light on a slew of details for "Red Dead Redemption 2's" including characters, locations and lots more during the event. But much to their chagrin, the list of participating companies for E3 2017 does not include Rockstar Games as one of the participants.
More 'Red Dead Redemption 2' Details To Be Unveiled At E3 2017?
Adding more drama and mystery to "RDR 2's" looming launch, Rockstar Games has opted to remain tight-lipped, but "RDR" fans must not lose hope just yet. Despite Rockstar Games' absence in the list of companies participating in E3 2017, the game developer's parent company Take-Two Interactive is listed as one of the participants in the imminent convention, which some optimistic fans believe will be the platform where the upcoming western shooter will be featured.
However, "GTA" fans must bear in mind that Take-Two's participation in the event does not necessarily hint at more revelations regarding "Red Dead Redemption 2." There is a possibility that the company might just showcase titles from 2K Games instead, according to GamingBolt.
Rockstar Games announced the first "Red Dead Redemption" back in Feb. 2009 and released a teaser that introduced the main character, John Marston later that year. The company has a reputation of remaining mum about its upcoming titles and from the looks of it; Rockstar Games seems in no mood to divulge more details about "RDR 2" in near future. This makes E3 the ideal place since it is not slated to take place until June.
'Red Dead Redemption 2' Headed To PC?
In other news, the long rumored Western video game, "Red Dead Redemption 2" might be making its PC debut as soon as the game hits the store shelves, GameRant reported.
A recent hack of popular anti-tamper technology company, Denuvo revealed shreds of information online. The said pieces of the information featured a list of developers that had either planned to use or are gearing up to use Denuvo as DRM protection. While most of the names on the list were quite predictable, the inclusion of Rockstar Games in the list grabbed the attention of PC gamers.
That being said, it is highly likely that the said Denuvo listing for Rockstar Games could be associated with "GTA 5," which was released for the PC a couple of years ago. In fact, rumors were rife at the time that "GTA 5" would employ Denuvo since "GTA 4" utilized it on PC, but Rockstar Games opted to go for Steam's DRM protection instead.
Stay tuned in here for more news and updates regarding "Red Dead Redemption 2" release date, characters and other details.
