Avid gamers have restlessly been waiting for Rockstar Games to shed more light on the next installment in the "Red Dead" series dubbed as, 'Red Dead Redemption 2" but, the game developer continues to refrain from divulging details in terms of what "RDR" fans can expect from the upcoming western action-adventure video game. Nevertheless, the lack of an official announcement didn't stop the rumor mill from spinning at a frenzied pace.
While details about "Red Dead Redemption 2" are still hard to come by, at least fans now know that Ethan Korver is in the long-rumored sequel. Korver has already been in a slew of video games such as "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare," "Mafia 3," and "Just Cause 3."
The video game voice actor took to his Twitter handle (@OfficialEthanKo) to confirm he is now in "Red Dead Redemption 2." However, "RDR 2" will not revolve around his character, which he confirmed is simply of a cowboy.
Aside from playing background roles and uncredited characters in video games, Korver has also played quite a few major roles including Dolph in "Far Cry 4," Eli in "State of Decay," Max in "Mad Max" game and Alexander in "Just Cause 2." Although he will not actually be a "Red Dead Redemption 2" cast member, this still means he will be getting vocal work in one of 2017's most anticipated video games, according to SegmentNext.
Spilling the beans about the "Red Dead Redemption 2" IMDB listing, Korver revealed that he is a cowboy in the game but probably be uncredited for the small role. As far as giving him credit for the main cast on IMDB is concerned, Korver said he had no idea how did he end up there as his character is just a background character and he is not even a main cast member, VG 24/7 reported.
It's worth noting that Ethan Korver is the only voice in "Red Dead Redemption 2" that has been made public. Since the game is slated to hit the store shelves in fall 2017, more concrete details are not likely to surface anytime soon. There's also a possibility that Rockstar Games may subsequently come out with more information about other cast members. Moreover, the game is expected to make an appearance at E3, which kicks off June 13, 2017, at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Rockstar Games might also introduce an array of jaw-dropping changes from the original "Red Dead Redemption" video game in order to make it even bigger and deeply engaging. Moreover, "RDR 2" is likely to employ enhanced graphical technology.
