HMD Global, the manufacturer with exclusive rights to the Nokia brand, is reportedly planning to unveil two new smartphones in the upcoming Mobile World Congress later this month in Barcelona, Spain- the Nokia 3 and the Nokia 5- according to a report by Android Authority.
The manufacturer recently released the Nokia 6 in China with overwhelming results as the demand for the smartphone exceeded its supply. The device features a full HD 5.5-inch display, 4GB of RAM and a 16MP rear camera.
The Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 are rumored to have downgraded specs to meet lower price points although both will run the Android 7.0 Nougat. The Nokia 5 will have the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor under its hood, similar to the Nokia 6 but with a smaller 5.2-inch display. The former will also have 2GB of RAM and 12MP rear camera. The device is rumored to be priced around $210.
There was no information about the Nokia 3's hardware although it is rumored to cost around $158.
In addition, it is also speculated that HMD Global will reveal a revival of one of the most iconic phones by Nokia at the MWC 2017, the 3310. The device is known for its long lasting battery life and almost indestructible build. However, no information was revealed about its specs but it's mentioned to be priced at $63.
The Mobile World Congress 2017 in Spain is scheduled on Feb. 26. Fans of the Nokia brand will just have to wait until then to see what HMD Global is officially going to unveil.
