With the forthcoming Valentine's Day, Microsoft woos its gamers with a week-long "Gears of War 4" event. February 10th will reportedly see the return of popular multiplayer-mode Torque Bow Tag that will last for a week. This limited-time event includes daily Valentine's themed bounties, a new craftable character and presents two new maps namely War Machine and Impact Dark.

The holiday-themed event will certainly come and go but the two maps that are supposedly added are here to stay. War Machine is a reimagined version of the well-known War Machine stage from the original game.

As it makes its way to "Gears of War 4" for the first time, War Machine has now been ripped out from the old and filthy train station to an over-the-top looking COG settlement. Its developer, The Coalition claims that the core map design fans remember has truly remained contact despite the map's visual overhaul.

The other map accompanying the update dubbed as Impact Dark is a modified version of existing "Gear of War 4" arena named Impact. The map increases the tension as its original's bright daylight setting is changed for the dark of night thru covering the battlefield in visibility-reducing smoke.

More so, this new patch is expected to bring a whole load of gameplay tweaks which includes long-requested improvements to "Gears of War 4" Guardian Mode. The February update is available now to download, with season pass holders able to play the two new maps today as well. Finally, the new stages will be playable on February 10.

"Gears of War 4" is a third-person shooter video game which is developed by The Coalition and published by Microsoft Studios. It is playable on Xbox One and PC platforms. It is the fourth main installment in the "Gears of War" series and reportedly the first entry not to be developed by Epic games.
