Details regarding "Crackdown 3" have been hard to come by, leading many to speculate whether or not the long-awaited action-adventure video game will even see the light of day, especially following the case of "Scalebound."
Much to the relief of those who have been restlessly waiting for "Crackdown 3," things are actually under control, as confirmed by Microsoft Studios' General Manager, Shannon Loftis, who guarantees the title will be worth the wait. Following a slew of not-so-encouraging rumors and the dearth of concrete details, there's finally some positive news for the exclusive title of Microsoft.
Hounded by Larry "Major Nelson" Hyrb in a video posted on Xbox's official YouTube channel, Loftis confirmed that "Crackdown 3" is slated to hit the store shelves in 2017. Although she did not link the game with an exact release date, this is enough to sustain the hype around the long-rumored title.
Breaking her silence during a recent episode of This Week on Xbox, Loftis confirmed that the game will indeed arrive in the course of 2017, GameTransfers reported. Alluding to the original Crackdowns, she pointed to the big open cities, as players leveled up, their cars and weapons leveled up, Loftis noted the next Crackdown will be 10 times better than that.
"Crackdown 3," she added, will be all about the boom. The game will be set in a colossal futuristic city, which is brimming with vehicles, never-before-seen weapons, and explosions. Aside from that, even the enemies are smarter, GamingBolt reported. However, it's the annihilation and explosions that make it an experience that is nothing short of jaw-dropping.
Despite the confirmation, details about the launch window of "Crackdown 3" are still hard to come by. Nevertheless, some recently surfaced rumors hint at an alleged announcement in the autumn, concurrently on Xbox One, Windows 10 as well as Project Scorpio.
