"Tom Clancy's The Division" gameplay mechanics have received its fair share of various criticism. Massive, the game's developer, is still hard at work in improving the game for fans that have been ever so loyal to the multiplayer third person shooter outside "Splinter Cell" and "Rainbow Six" universe.
The Year 2 Mock-Up display allegedly brought high hopes for the game's 2017 lineup of updates. However, it wasn't as expected.
According to StarsPost, A redditor named "theCyanideX" posted an interesting image on "The Division" subreddit, which ultimately became a hot topic. The link shared seemed to be the game's Year 2 mock-up features.
The said link showed five major updates, starting from "1.7 Isolation." A new loadout, a PVE Dark Zone and character recreation are supposedly featured in the update, wherein all were mentioned as free. Another update "1.8 Arsenal" features new additional skills, base expansion, dynamic missions and apparently much more as well.
Furthermore, the other three expansions are called "Ascension," "Retribution" and "Graveyard." These are all said to be paid DLCs and they are major ones, nevertheless.
Unfortunately, the said mock-up for year 2 was not official, which has saddened fellow subredditors. Despite this, they still believe that the image's surface is Massive's tricky way of checking their fans' preferences when it regards to the next set of updates.
"JokerUnique", another redditor, clarified the aforementioned and made the post sticky. This post has let everybody know that neither Massive nor Ubisoft has shared anything about the 2017's update roadmap.
Ultimately, this had combined all speculations regarding "The Division" not getting any real Year 2 updates, as reported by Forbes. This significantly points out that the game may possibly see its last doses of major DLCS.
Moreover, "Last Stand", "Underground" and "Survival" were the three major expansions that were released for "The Division". However, it seemed to have suffered some flaws, which made a huge number of fans see them as nothing more but mods instead of set of new missions and extensive mechanics.
