"Rainbow Six Siege" Operation Velvet Shell will arrive Tuesday, February 7. The first DLC will introduce the new Coastline map and the game's strongest tracker, Jackal.
Operation Velvet Shell is the first major "Rainbow Six Siege" update for 2017. Recently, Ubisoft shared a sneak preview of the new map, Coastline, and the latest Jackal gameplay during the Six Invitational tournament event in Montreal. Jackal is the latest Spanish operator and is deemed as the strongest tracker in the game so far.
Jackal DLC Preview
Jackal, "Rainbow Six Siege's" latest G.E.O. operator is armed with an extraordinary tracking visor that exposes the footprints enemies have left behind. Jackal does not automatically track roamers. His skill, in fact, easily allows a player to discover whether the team of defenders is roaming or not. Jackal can tell if the team is camping at the objective when the tracks from reinforcement return to where they came from.
"Rainbow Six Siege" Jackal is equipped with primary weapons, like the C7E. It is a 30-round magazine assault rifle, PDW9, 50-round drum SMG, or an ITA 12L shotgun. In addition, Jackal's secondary weapons comprise the USP 40 and ITA 12S.
"Rainbow Six Siege" players that have a knowledge of a thing or two about weapons, will definitely know that the ITA 12S is a sidearm shotgun. In the entire game, so far, Jackal is the only operator with this unique and deadly sidearm. Jackal's side arm has close quarters killing power ,as well as the ability to abolish a drywall and create new holes around the map.
Jackal DLC Story
The "Rainbow Six Siege" Jackal DLC story follows the heart-rending massacre during the Munich 1972 Summer Olympic Games. It was during the time when Spain founded its own Special Forces to protect the country's interests during a turbulent shift to a democratic government. The Spanish Grupo Especial de Operaciones, or G.E.O., was established in 1977.
