It's almost four years since Square Enix unveiled "Kingdom Hearts 3" at the E3 2013. The game developers still preoccupied in developing the RPG. Game director Tetsuya Nomura provided some insights on what Square Enix is up to at the moment.

In an interview with Gaming Bolt, Nomura admits that the team is still not finish developing the upcoming role-playing game. The publication then asked if decorations as seen on "Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep" could be headed to the game.

Nomura said that he is still not sure. The game director explained that the reason "Kingdom Hearts 0.2" had added decorations was because it only was a short series and there was pressure to add more content.

Tetsuya Nomura confirms that his team has plenty going on for "Kingdom Hearts 3" and adding decorations may not be needed. The end product will depend on the state of development as time goes on, says Nomura.

With that said, it seems that Square Enix will unlikely release the game this year. But game developers did said that more content would be added on the game, giving fans hope and assuring fans that the game title would be worth the wait.

In other news, there were previous reports that "Kingdom Hearts 3" would not be compatible with the Xbox One.Reports have it that the Xbox One was removed from the game's official webisite and the game would be a PlayStation4 exclusive.

However, Square Enix already fixed the image, confirming its availability for both Xbox One and the PlayStation 4. In the meantime, fans of the game can catch "Kingdom Hearts 1.5" and "Kingdom Hearts 2.5HD ReMix" for the PS4 in March.

This year marks the game's 15th anniversary since it was first released in 2002. Fans of the RPG hopes that more "Kingdom Hearts 3" news will be announced at some point in 2017.
