3 hours of charging and 2-4 hours of gameplay - that's all that Nintendo Switch can offer. However, there is a replacement battery that can go as far as 6 hours, but it will come with a price.

While "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," "Mario Kart 8" or even "Skyrim" are indeed impressive forward technology for Nintendo Switch, its battery is not. The company shouldn't be blamed for this shortcoming though because gamers know that battery technology have been a problem for almost any device. Even the best gadgets out there wouldn't last a day even with lithium-ion batteries.

The Nintendo Switch battery replacement is not a tinkerer's park. Should gamers decide to replace their batteries with more powerful ones, they have to go to Nintendo Costumer Support, according to Twinfinite. After all, Nintendo Switch has internal batteries similar to that of Apple iPad.

Taking into example "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," Nintendo Switch can handle the game for 3 hours on the go. On a single charge while in sleep mode, achieving full battery will take up to 3 hours. Theoretically, what Nintendo offers as replacement battery can last to about an hour more. This is due to the nature of AAA games that usually demands high resources.

Meanwhile, the Nintendo Switch website has not listed the price yet for this replacement battery. It is also unclear if the replacement battery will launch alongside Switch in March 3 as an optional upgrade. If so, battery will be similar to other Nintendo Switch add-ons that are separate from the $299 base console.

Nintendo Switch has promised that they will have reliable costumer support. Setting up this upcoming console is the primary concern of the support although the site listed that they also take in requests for news and even questions about the games. A word of advice though, there is an age restriction in Nintendo Switch support website and calls might also have their respective costs.
