The Nintendo Switch console will have "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" as one of their first offerings. However, Nintendo recently revealed that the Switch edition will have no HD Rumble feature.
The Switch's HD Rumble feature allows players to experience specific sensations through the Joy-con controller's vibrations. The technology boasts of the haptic feedback system, and it is considered as one of the main selling points of the new console, Engadget reported.
Eiji Aonuma, producer of "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," recently explained why the HD rumble will not be utilized in the game. Their reason is simple, as he said, the purpose of having the game on the Nintendo Switch is to bring the same experience as on Wii U. If they will adopt add the HD rumble feature to Zelda, they claim that it would not be the same game, Digital Trends reported.
As reported by Ubergizmo, it is a bit unfortunate that "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" will not be able to highlight the console's newest features. Nintendo has yet to announce if there will be more games that will not feature the HD rumble. Both the Nintendo Switch and "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" are slated to be released on Mar. 3, 2017.
