"Red Dead Redemption 2" is expected to be released this October 2017, as Rockstar Games confirmed the game sequel's release in the coming months. While it is still a couple of months away, several sites have already posted alleged beta tests of RDR2. Is the company allowing some players to try the game ahead of its release date?
Several sites have been posting "Red Dead Redemption 2" beta versions ahead of its rumored release date in October. According to RDR2, several game developers release beta tests in public to discover bugs and issues that might be present in the game, which will allow them to iron things out before its official release in the market.
While it may be quite believable for some to see an RDR2 beta version online, the publication notes that Rockstar Games has never hosted open betas in any of their games. This means that any link that claims to be a beta test for "Red Dead Redemption 2" is simply a fake version.
This also means that players will not get to try out "Red Dead Redemption 2" until Rockstar Games releases it in October. According to Express, there have been conflicting reports about the exact release of RDR2.
The publication notes that some sites list the "Red Dead Redemption 2" release date on Oct. 2 while others state that the game will be released at the end of October. The release of the game is also sparking speculations that the company's other projects, GTA 5 online, may not get enough attention from the developers.
According to an online source, Rockstar Games is currently divided into different teams - some are working on "Red Dead Redemption 2" while others are working on "GTA 6" and another game. This could mean that GTA 5 online may not get major DLCs following the import/export DLC that was released in 2016.
