After Samsung began rolling out its latest update for their smartwatches, a major upgrade is now in for Samsung Gear S3. Users will now be able to enjoy a smoother user experience and loads of stability and performance improvements with their watch.

Thanks to a new firmware version that has been made available for download now. This said update has been rolled by Samsung last month in the United States. However, UK users have had to wait until now to upgrade.

Samsung Gear S3 users can update their device by first, opening up their Gear Manager app on their smartphones which are paired with their smartwatches. From there, they should tap through the Setting menu, then Update Gear Software.

Note that the upgrade should then appear there for users to be able to download it. Considering that the major update is quite a sizeable file, users should ensure that they are connected to a Wi-Fi network to avoid any accidental large data bills.

Samsung has just recently revealed that the companion iOS app for Gear S3 smartwatch, which means that users of the wearable will finally be able to pair their wearable to their iPhone. Note that only Android users were able to enjoy pairing their smartphone with the Gear S3 before. Although the latest generations of Samsung's wearables are pretty costly at roughly $371, it still offers a number of improvements over past generations.

The Samsung Gear S3 was first unveiled back at IFA in September which was made available in two styles namely Frontier and Classic. The Frontier has been designed to act both a leisure wearable and as a fitness-minded wearable as well.

Meanwhile the Classic variant, according to Samsung, pays respect to minimalists and has an elegant style that is found in the most iconic timepieces. Samsung has also increased the size of the battery which improving the battery life to a astounding four days and even included a GPS to give the smartwatch more independence, as compared to its previous releases.
