Samsung fans are waiting for the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event with growing excitement because the reveal of the Galaxy S25 series approaches swiftly—a few hours left from now. Despite hearing numerous product details, we can now see rumored up-close pictures posted on Reddit.
The images could offer us our first real look at the next generation of Samsung smartphones. How do they look?
First Glimpse at the Samsung Galaxy S25 Design
Leaked hands-on images, posted by Redditor u/senzu_B, show all three models of the Samsung Galaxy S25 series. These are not official images, but they do offer an interesting glimpse of what the new phones might look like.
As of writing, the Redditor deleted the account and we could no longer see the official post.
One of the first design changes that caught our eye was the camera rings. Compared to previous Galaxy models, these rings are significantly more prominent. The larger camera rings suggest Samsung is putting more emphasis on camera performance, which aligns with earlier reports of upgraded camera systems for the S25 series.
Another notable feature in the leaked images is the new blue color for the Galaxy S25 Plus. This shade is strikingly different from previous colors seen in the S series lineup, giving the Plus model a fresh, vibrant look.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus: Display and Camera Layout
The screen size of the Galaxy S25 Plus is reported to be 6.7 inches, so it's slightly smaller than the Galaxy S25 Ultra in the pictures. The size difference may not be extreme, but the display on the Plus model appears to offer sufficient screen area for those wanting a bigger screen than the base Galaxy S25 without having to jump up to the Ultra variant.
Tom's Guide reports that the camera layout on the Galaxy S25 Plus appears similar to that of the standard S25 model. Although the S25 Plus doesn't seem to include the extra lenses that we expect on the Ultra model, it is still likely to offer significant camera upgrades compared to its predecessor. This continuity in design is not a huge surprise, as Samsung is known to keep certain elements consistent across its models.
What's Missing: Performance and One UI 7
While the leaked images provide valuable insights into the physical design of the Galaxy S25 series, they leave a few questions unanswered. There's no information on how these devices will perform or how the One UI 7 operating system—confirmed to be launching with the S25 series—will function.
One UI 7 is expected to bring a host of new features, such as improved multitasking capabilities, more customization options, and enhanced integration with Samsung's broader ecosystem of devices. However, we'll have to wait for the official reveal to see how these features are implemented and how they impact the overall user experience.
Should You Wait for the Full Reveal?
Given how close we are to the official release of the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, it's tempting to make assumptions based on these early leaks. However, it's always advisable to hold off on any purchasing decisions until the full reveal at the Galaxy Unpacked event.
Leaks often give us an early look, but the official presentation will provide critical details on performance, pricing, and new software features that could influence your decision. It's also worth considering that these images, while likely accurate, may not capture every aspect of the phones, such as internal specs and exclusive features.
