"Halo" Director Frank O'Connor revealed that Microsoft's Project Scorpio is "beefier" than his expectation. Originally posted on NeoGAF, O'Connor said that he cannot remember the specifics of the project so he cannot tease more than that. Though the "Halo" boss only spilled very little information about the upcoming console, it is apparently enough to spark excitement among gamers.
In a response to a fan who asked for a bit of information on Project Scorpio, O'Connor's statement reads, "Haha, although I probably 'know' in that I might have seen it in a slide or something, it's literally not something I have time to think about now and I actually couldn't remember whatever specs I've been exposed to even if I was tortured."
"I literally couldn't leak or answer a question that went beyond 'Can I do this? Does it support that? How many of these could it render?' What I do remember is that it's beefier than I expected," the director continued in his NeoGAF comment.
It's clear that O'Connor cannot reveal much about the latest console from Microsoft but to describe it as "beefier" could mean that Project Scorpio may surpass the expectations of players too. However, as pointed out by GameRant, his statement may come as biased because he works for Microsoft Studios. But considering the specs posted on Xbox.com, it is safe to say that the new flagship console promises better gaming experience with its latest technology.
Microsoft's upcoming console is said to come with six Teraflops of computer capability that supports true 4K gaming. It also sports 320GB of memory and eight-core CPU. Dubbed as the most powerful console, the new technology also has the highest resolution and the best frame rate, reportedly.
Project Scorpio is slated to ship during the holidays of 2017. No specific launch date has been announced by Microsoft as of this posting. Check out some details of the upcoming console in the clip below.
