DigiTimes reported that Pegatron is manufacturing the Project Scorpio console. In addition, the report claims that the company is looking forward to a massive order from Microsoft for the console in the second half of 2017.
The latest report just fueled the speculations of the Project Scorpio taking pre-orders earlier than initially planned. The company already confirmed the appearance of the highly anticipated console in the E3 event.
Since the Project Scorpio was revealed, fans and gamers are eager to get their hands on the latest console offering cutting-edge technology. As advertised by the company, the monster console will be the most powerful ever to be released in the gaming market. It flaunts a computing power of 6 trillion floating point calculations per second. It also boasts 4K and VR support capability--a feature already existent in PS4 Pro.
Currently, the Xbox team is focused on providing single player games for the Project Scorpio. It was reported that Xbox Executive Phil Spencer has been into a series of meetings with several Japanese game developers. In one of his interviews, the head of Xbox mentioned that the studios showed interest in developing games for the upcoming Microsoft console.
