Since Xbox One Scorpio has been confirmed at E3 last year and yet to be revealed by Microsoft, there have been already several hints and leaks about it online. According to a recent report, Xbox One would purportedly not pay the price for the Xbox Scorpio's improved specs as soon as the holiday 2017 release date starts rolling.
Some Xbox One fans are concerned that the Scorpio might make the original console outdated. However, Xbox boss Phil Spencer assured its Twitter followers that both the Xbox One and Scorpio would be around for years to come. "Xbox One and S will be supported consoles for many years," he reportedly told one fan on Twitter.
This is expected to be welcome news, particularly on the eve of a reported new major VR announcement from Microsoft. A new game from upstart Human Interact has been verified for launch today on Steam VR and Oculus Rift called "Starship Commander".
The new title is described as an interactive VR narrative, which enables players to speak their mind to characters in the story with the use of next generation natural language processing. This all eventually fits into Microsoft's recent moves into the language processing field. It seems to be one of the first Virtual Reality games that apparently look to utilize chat support at the main gaming input.
Although this game has not been verified for the Xbox One Scorpio just yet, it appears to be coming in the months ahead. What's more interesting is that this new game might not be the console's first Virtual Reality exclusive away from the Xbox One.
Apparently, the Starship Commander may also be played on the normal base console as long as it includes a Kinect device. The Xbox One Scorpio was recently praised by Thomas Mahler, the "Ori and the Blind Forest" developer who said it is not some "half-assed" machine like the PS4 Pro.
