At the Consumer Electronics Show 2017, Acer unveiled its latest gaming laptop, the Predator 21 X, which is the closest to a high performance PC gaming machine that you can get, on the go, according to a report by T3.

But prepare yourself though, because this gaming laptop will set you back a whopping $9,000. Why is it that expensive? Let's see what this mammoth machine got under its hood.

This gaming laptop boasts a seventh-gen Intel Core i7 processor and two NVidia GeForce GTX 1080 X graphics cards, and it's not the mobile versions, instead Acer used the full desktop editions. The laptop also sports 64GB of DDR4-2400 memory.

Acer went to great lengths in imitating a full gaming desktop experience with its fully mechanical keyboard that has a trackpad on the right side that can be flipped over to convert it to a number pad. With all the bulk crammed to this device, it's not surprising that this laptop weighs 8 kgs, which is pretty heavy for a laptop. It also sports a 21-inch curved 2560x1080 resolution display. Additionally, it carries five system fans to prevent overheating.

According to a report by USA Today, the Predator has an eye-tracking technology feature through a partnership with the company Tobii. Players can use the tech in games wherein you can identify enemies by just looking at a spot on the screen. Acer plans to support 45 games using this technology.

Acer's approach on its PC gaming market has been totally different compared to other companies which target gamers that are on a budget. Dell introduced its Inspiron laptop for a modest $799, while Lenovo revealed its Legion gaming laptops beginning at $900.
