In an unfortunate (for Rockstar games at least) twist of events, a UK online store has just revealed the "Red Dead Redemption 2" release date. As of today, the UK online store has yet to take down the RDR 2 post with the alleged leaked information.

Littlewoods, a British online store, has posted an online preorder post for "Red Dead Redemption 2" which gave a delivery date of October 2, 2017. The alleged leaked RDR 2 has not yet been confirmed by the game's developer, Rockstar games.

The alleged leak is indeed an unfortunate event for Rockstar games as it has been very secretive about any information about the second game for the Red Dead Redemption franchise. Aside from the trailers released by Rockstar games and some tiny bit of teasers here and there, no actual confirmed and official information for the new RDR 2 have been released.

As others would say, one man's misfortune may just be another man' luck. The leaked "RDR2" is a welcome information for the video game community who are eagerly anticipating the release of the new RDR 2 game. In the official website of the game, the release date of the "Red Dead Redemption 2" remains as 2017 with no month and day.

Numerous pundits, however, believe that the alleged release date may not be true as it does not coincide with the usual days for a video game release. It could be seen that the October 2 date is a Monday, US release dates for video games usually happen on a Tuesday while European releases happens on a Friday.

Though the alleged leaked "Red Dead Redemption 2" release date may not be the real release date, video game players should not frown as Rockstar games has already confirmed that the game will be available in the fall. This would mean the game will actually be released close to the leaked release date.
