Fans can experience "Mass Effect 2" on PC once again. The good news is it will be free via EA's Origin. However, fans have to hurry as this would be a limited time only offering.
Bioware has previously announced that it would be making five games for PC. These games will all be free. "Mass Effect 2" has been one of the fan favorites that were likely titles for a free PC version, according to WCCF Tech. In fact, the publisher has already offered the game for free last December 20. However, it did not seem to be part of EA's Origin.
The game was made free after EA announced the release date of much awaited game "Mass Effect: Andromeda." The game will be released in North America on March 21 and internationally on March 23.
"Mass Effect 2" was officially released last 2009. A year after, it was then released for Xbox 360 and for PC. The game has been one of the most popular titles of the franchise. It has been hailed as the series' high point, as Gadgets360 noted. This was apparently due to the gameplay that settled fans' problems on the first "Mass Effect" game.
The game has sold over 2 million copies in its first week of release. After that, it garnered numerous awards and even acquired perfect scores from media outlets around the world.
However, "Mass Effect 2" was surrounded with controversy and notoriety earlier in 2016. This was because its dialogue and music has inspired an unofficial and most likely a fan-made video for Donald Trump. The video was first released on Vidme and was known as the Trump Effect. Soon, it made its way to Youtube and was even tweeted by the official Twitter account of the now-elected US President.
Meanwhile, "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will be released soon, as mentioned earlier. The game will be for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
