Electronic Arts has advised "Mass Effect" fans to keep on voting for "Mass Effect 2" and "Mass Effect 3" so it can be included in the Xbox One backwards compatibility list.

Answering a fan on Twitter, Electronic Arts said that both games need more support from the fans in order for the titles to make it to the list. "The more support there is, the sooner we might some movement on this so cheers for taking the time to vote!"

"Mass Effect 3" currently ranks at number six on the Xbox One backwards compatibility most requested list, with over 86,000 user votes. "Mass Effect 2" comes in with over 74,000 votes and sits comfortably at the number eight spot.

The "Mass Effect" trilogy is rumored to have a remastered version for current-gen consoles soon, and that possibility is teased by Electronic Arts' VP Patrick Soderlund in an interview with Game Informer at this year's Gamescom.

"A remaster is something that you can just do or do it really well," the EA VP explained. "I want to make sure that if we were to do it, we would do it really well and that people feel that it's the same game but it feels so much better in this new shape and form."

Electronic Arts already have a handful of games on the Xbox One backwards compatibility list, including "Left 4 Dead" and "Left For Dead 2," "Dead Space," "Mirror's Edge," "Portal 2" and "NBA JAM: On Fire Edition."

Meanwhile, Microsoft has added four more titles to its ever expanding Xbox One backwards compatibility list. As announced by Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb on Twitter, the company has included "Jurassic Park: The Game," "Battlestations: Midway," Dragon's Lair" and "Tour de France 2011" as backwards compatible titles.

Note, however, that "Tour de France 2011" is not available in all regions, including the US.
