In time for "Diablo's" 20th anniversary, Blizzard has a couple of great surprises for the fans. First off, "Diablo III" patch 2.4.3 is now live, with the addition of The Darkening of Tristam to the game. Apart from that, Blizzard has added a secret cow level in "World of Warcraft" that links to "Diablo 2."
The "Diablo III" patch is here and fans can expect new changes to celebrate the franchise's 20th anniversary. However, what most are looking forward to is The Darkening of Tristam. This brings the 1996 "Diablo" dungeon to old and new fans alike.
"The dungeon is the Diablo 1 experience reimagined in Diablo 3," a representative of Blizzard said according to Venture Beat. "Players will venture through a reimagined version of the original cathedral and keep an eye out for some familiar items, including bosses and iconic items that have been brought to life in the 'Diablo III' engine."
Apart from the classic dungeon, some powerful weapons and armor are also available now. Greater Rifts and other improvements are also expected from the patch.
But the celebration continues outside of the "Diablo" franchise. Another popular Blizzard game, "World of Warcraft," also gets a "Diablo" anniversary gift. This is in the form of a secret cow level.
It was first featured in "Diablo 2," but now, the once part of Sanctuary is available on "World of Warcraft." Basically, players can be transported to a farmer's field that is filled with monster cows.
However, it is not easy to enter the field. According to PC Gamer, a player should kill a Treasure Goblin spawning in Azeroth to open a portal. The spawning of these Treasure Goblins will be until January 11. But to get to these Treasure Goblins and even killing them would require good stats and skills. However, the "Diablo" inspired prizes are definitely worth it.
