A newly-cooked Sims game has made its way to Google Play, and a lot of noise and hype is going around among the fans. First thing first, this is not Sims 5 but is actually called The Sims Labs: Town Stories—the new addition to the just unveiled The Sims Labs platform.
This new platform is a sandbox for new testing as well as for early access to new products and new features across the universe of this simulator game.
What to Expect from The Sims Labs: Town Stories
TechRadar was the first to see the new Google Play Store release details of The Sims Labs: Town Stories. According to the report, it will be an "all-new and exciting building simulation game."
What's more, the new character will find himself/herself quite surrounded by communities in town Plumbrook, this wonderful little town. According to initial screenshots, gameplay reminds of the vintage Sims style where one will get an opportunity to build and interact with other residents in town.
What Could Be Its Gameplay?
Although no download is available for the game just yet, some earlier gameplay footage by an anonymous user on X (formerly Twitter) hints that The Sims Mobile will deliver a semi-open world. It is exciting to see the mix of assets that seems similar between The Sims Mobile and The Sims FreePlay.
One exciting highlight of the gameplay revolves around interaction with the iconic Bella Goth, indicating that the game will include nostalgic callbacks for long-time players. The interface matches previous mobile versions in visual treatment, from a bright blue player level bar—a design element that echoes The Sims Mobile.
Visual Development in Early Stages
Noticeably, The Sims Labs: Town Stories is still in its developing stages. This can be inferred as the presence of placeholder assets and live visual bugs on the character animations and lighting. Yet, with all this excitement regarding a new Sims game, many people are only speculating about how it will eventually end.
What to Play in the Meantime?
For those who will jump head-first into one of the current titles, The Sims 4 is a great start. You can play it across all consoles while we wait for Sims Labs and the rumored Sims 5.
In other news, MobileNApps reported last month that Fortnite was eyeing to bring another round of Star Wars collaboration. While we have seen more skins from one of the biggest crossovers in Fortnite history, this upcoming partnership will introduce even more exclusive skins.
Based on the previous leaks, some of them who could make the cut are Rebel Leia Organa, Chewbacca, and many more.
If you are a fan of Marvel heroes, you can also expect more skins on Fortnite which we previously saw in a Marvel-themed LTM teaser. It's one way to attract more players who love the franchise.
