"God of War" apparently accomplished something new in terms of progressing with its game status; and as many fans are still waiting for the title to crawl forward further, Santa Monica Studios revealed its achievement. The many years put into the continuity may have paid off, according to the people behind the game.

The fourth entry in the series, simply named "God of War," has not offered much information in the past, apart from the footage that teased Kratos' fatherhood. However, recent conversations unveiled that the game has reached another milestone, making things even more exciting for the fans.

According to a conversation held in NeoGAF, the "God of War" game is already considered playable from start to finish; but is still far from being complete. Santa Monica Studios' Cory Barlog added that the motion capture work is also almost done and, as a whole, the game has gone beyond what was shown during the Electronic Entertainment Expo event this year, GamingBolt reports.

Originally, "God of War" was slated for launch next year but without a date for the moment. As for the lore within the game, Santa Monica Studios showed a brief few minutes of the masterpiece that highlighted a seasoned Kratos and his son. It allegedly depicted how Kratos was starting to act as a father figure to the child with tough love. The tale is now confirmed on being based around Norse mythology, contradictory to the three predecessors in the series.

No prices or pre-order offers have come for "God of War" just yet, which means that players and purchasers will have to wait slightly longer for their share of reservations. Nevertheless, the continuity is still a sure-fire release within 2017, regardless of the allotted release date for the title.
